We can help your child take their game to the next level with our soccer skills development programme for boys and girls aged between 6 and 13. Based on over a decade of experience in sports education and soccer coaching KICK Soccer Schools is focused on developing individual skills in a fun and professional environment.
Great for any experience and ability, here are some ways that our programme can help kids at various levels:
If your child is new to soccer then having the opportunity to develop the correct technique from the start will give them a great platform to build their skills on. With this in place their all-round ability will improve along with their confidence and enjoyment of the game.
Intermediate (plays at school or at the park):
Soccer is well known to be the ‘world game’ and is the also the most played sport at grass roots level in Australia. Often kids will be introduced to it at school and develop an interest in playing more. The KICK programme is a great way for these children to be involved in the game and to improve their ability, with or without making the commitment of joining a club and playing competitive matches.
Intermediate (plays for a team):
There are many kids that play for a team and do pretty well but, it may be perhaps felt that they play ‘within themselves’ and that they could benefit from some focused attention on their own game as individuals. The KICK programme will not only improve their individual playing ability but will also bring; increased self-belief, the desire to ‘want’ the ball more, and the confidence to be more creative with it.
When players show talent at an early age it is very exciting, but the challenge of their on-going development is an important one. If a player limits them self to only doing the things that they are good at then there can be a danger of them not progressing; creating a feeling of going backwards, as other players continue to improve. Applauding success at every level is important, but it is also to necessary recognise that development is an on-going process. As Christiano Ronaldo says ‘If you think you are perfect then you never will be.’
